#TRANSPWRFest was everything and then some! This month has been so exhausting politically, with trans folx being used as pawns in the machine. But we are resilient and no matter what we have been through, we are #StillFuckingHere. It was so magical to be surrounded so many amazing trans organizers, musicians, artists, and family. Wish TRANS PWR Fest was every weekend. Thank you to @thebakeryatlanta for letting us use your space. Thank you to all the performers, workshop organizers, artists, volunteers, and everyone else!

About a month ago, I was asked to be in a @staceyabrams video featuring various people holding up signs with three ways they identify. I chose musician, drag queen, and organizer. I’m not sure when/if the video will come out, but I’m glad I had the experience to be a part of it. One of the many things I love about Stacey Abrams is her openness and her ability to meet people where they are - no matter their intersection of identities. This is what we need in Georgia. Reductive, conservative politics and culture have drained the state of the juices that make it unique. I believe Stacey Abrams is the the governor we need AND deserve.

Obviously, voting is not the answer to all of our problems. It’s a part of the process. As much as we are fired up to vote, we must also organize, strategize, and build between communities. Liberation is not from the top down, but rather from the roots up. So go vote today. But then get up tomorrow and get connected to local grassroots orgs, volunteer efforts, and so on. ✊🏾✨
